Researchers
from the University of Miami, Florida have completed the first
satellite-tagging study of tiger sharks (Galeocerdo
cuvier). The main aim of the
researchers was to find out how ecotourism impacts tiger sharks .Companies
offering shark dives offer food to attract the sharks. There is raging debate whether this is OK or not. The researchers studied two separate
populations of tiger sharks: one that originated in Florida and the other in
the Bahamas.
