Rabbs' fringe-limbed
tree frog (Ecnomiohyla rabborum) is named after conservationists George and
Mary Rabb. The species was first identified by Mendelson, J.R. and an
international team of scientists on a field expedition to Panama in 2005.
Amphibian chytrid fungus has swiped out the population in the wild. They have
not been observed in the wild since 2007.
The last known member
of this species resides at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
